Those that argue for "flexible" rules, laws, and court decisions, are arguing for one thing: an increase in their own power over the people of the United States (and the world). The only thing that restrains government (and hence its power over you) is hard, fast, rules. The power-hungry have worked for hundreds of years to erode that barrier and the only way to preserve freedom is to fight it.
